Entrepreneurs Getting Empowered

Some 20 entrepreneurs are better equipped for the ebb and flow of the marketplace thanks to the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme’s (YES) ‘Market Ready Workshop’.

The participants were able to benefit from the workshop that was held at the Sky Mall Conference Room at Haggatt Hall, St. Michael on February 17, 2023. As part of the session, owner/founder of Tsalach Natural Products, Ms. Sherry-Ann Battershield, shared her experience as an entrepreneur and guided the participants through several business topics, including Types of Customers, Fundamentals of Closing the Deal, Steps to Making a Sale and Booth Management.

After the presentation, the entrepreneurs participated in an interactive activity, during which they were required to design their ‘booths’ using their products and pitch sales to ‘customers’. They were scored and given feedback at the end of the activity.

The YES team will host more of these workshops, which aim to prepare entrepreneurs for exhibitions.
