The National Youth Awards are back after a 12-year hiatus and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment is inviting individuals, organisations and youth entities to honour, highlight and celebrate the work of young people and youth organisations in Barbados by nominating them for a National Youth Award. Under the theme “Acknowledging Excellence: Inspiring Youth,” the Awards will be held on Sunday October 2, 2022.
This year the awards up for grabs are: The Phoenix Award, the Conrad Hunte Award, the Ficus Award, the Challenge Award, the Hope Award, The Colin Hudson Award, The Bambusa Award, The Banyan Award, The Baobab Award, The Calabash Award, The Canewood Award, The Sandbox Award and The Silk Cotton Award.
The Ministry is inviting nominators to Step Forward, Nominate and Celebrate, youth engagement, youth volunteerism, youth innovation, youth entrepreneurship, youth in sports and culture, youth in science and sustainable development, youth organisations, youth advocacy and much more...
Individuals and youth-centered organisations or groups dedicated to their work and cause, while making meaningful contributions are all eligible.
